Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) will hold their 2018 MATE International ROV Competition at the King County Aquatic Center from June 21st to June 24rd, right here in Federal Way, WA. K-12, community college, and university students from all over the world will come to build remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). This includes teams from Hong Kong, Scotland, Egypt, Russia, Turkey, Bermuda, and more.
This competition will highlight the role that ROVs play in supporting underwater archaeology, seismology, and rewneable energy activites in the Pacific Northwest.
