The Federal Way Symphony will hold a one-day tour of eight local gardens. The tour will include unique, local artwork, music, and a keynote speaker. The gardens include the Rhodendendron Species Botanical Garden, the George Weyerhaeuser Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection, Burner Garden, Montiel Garden, Stroh Garden, Rice Garden, Boehm Garden, and flesher Garden. Each private garden owner will include literature about their garden, including plant species and special techniques used in creating the garden. The Rhodendendron Garden and Bonsai Collection will also offer a variety of educational printed materials about their plants and techniques. Our educational and interactive keynote speaker is Riz Reyes, who is a member of the Hispanic community and will speak bout his travels as a young gardener.
