The Federal Way Symphony will honor aspirations throughout the 20th century in its Winter 2019 concert at the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center. John Williams’ “Star Wars Suite” marked the beginning of a collaboration that has grown into an iconic universe. “An American in Paris” by George Gershwin salutes the hopes and dreams of 1920’s artists in the City of Light, and aspiring soloist Adrian King will perform Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto no. 3 as part of the Symphony’s “Emerging Artists” series.

Sixteen-year-old piano virtuoso, Adrian King, has excelled in numerous piano competitions beginning with his first-place finish in the 2012 Seattle International Piano Northwest Bach Festival. He was a solo division Gold Medalist at the 2015 and 2017 Chopin Foundation (Northwest Council) competitions and received first place in the last two Washington Music Teacher National Association, Junior Piano Division competitions.
