Come join us for the GRAND OPENING of the

new Federal Way Town Square Park!!

Opening day is Saturday, July 12. The celebration starts at noon* and runs until 4:00 p.m.

“Town Square Park is a place for families and church groups to recreate, and a place for office workers to have lunch on a nice day. This park puts the center in our city center,” said Mayor Jim Ferrell, who announced the creation of a downtown park at his April 2014 State of the City address. “This day is a great opportunity for us to come together and celebrate a historic step forward for our community.”

The event will include three live bands, an amazingly talented Elvis performer, and refreshments will be available. Chess fans will finally get a look at (and a chance to play) the new large-size chessboards, as well as tables with regular-size chess pieces. The park opening will feature fun activities for kids and adults:

• bounce houses
• field games
• face painting
• basketball
• food trucks
• volleyball
• and much more!

• 12:15-1:00 p.m. The Hitmen
• 1:15-2:00 p.m. Elvis (performed by Dano)
• 2:15-2:45 p.m. Rearview Terror (Federal Way Police officers’ band)
• 3:00-4:00 p.m. Richard Allen & the Louisiana Experience
